Miranda Janan (b. 1994, Detroit) is a Palestinian-American visual artist based in Brooklyn, NY.
Primarily working with water and charcoal, Miranda explores themes of movement, energy, human complexity, and aliveness. Her practice is deeply influenced by a commitment to truth-telling and Palestinian culture and history.
Miranda has collaborated with other artists and organizations to amplify stories that are often censored or erased. Her artwork for the 2020 Boycott Pillsbury Campaign has been featured in media outlets including Al Jazeera and Mondoweiss.
